DT070BTFT pin function and configuration

Hi,
I have read DT070BTFT-PTS1 display module specifications but I am confused with some pin fuction and configuration, how do they connect with processor. I am new at display module specially LVDS interface.

Are there any reference design or technical documents related to that so that I can know how to connect the module with processor. Some pins that I do not clearly understand is RESET, STBYB, SELB. What are their functions and which voltage do they have to pulled with, recomended resistor value with them.

Hi Le,

As you know, you can refer to Section 5 of the DT070BTFT-PTS1 datasheet on our website which shows the LVDS "Interface Signals". LVDS is just a way to transport a high-resolution RGB signal coming out of a microcontroller to a display that might be too far away for single-ended RGB data transmission. LVDS (Low-Voltage Differential Signaling) can send high-speed signals relatively long distances without a ground plane and minimal EMI. The TI DS90C383B LVDS Transmitter is an example of a chip that converts RGB single-ended to LVDS. The TI website page for the DS90C383B has a wealth of application notes describing LVDS and how to use their chips. Some microcontroller boards already have a LVDS output, so you may not need to concern yourself with converting the signal. Otherwise, you will need to find a module that can do the conversion. On the DT070BTFT end, the display driver chip has a built-in LVDS receiver. If you would like more detailed information about the driver chip here is the link on our website:

As for the specific signals that you've asked about, the details are as follows:

STBYB - Active Low to enter Standby Mode (ie, source driver will turn off and all inputs will become high impedance). Should be normally pulled high with a max 100 ohm pull-up resistor (See Section 7.1 of the source driver datasheet). The recommended digital supply voltage is 1.8V.

RESET - Active Low to enter Global Reset state. Should be normally pulled high with a maximum 100 ohm pull-up resistor as well. 

SELB - This pin sets the LVDS data input format to either 6 or 8 bit. The default state is High which will result in 8-bit LVDS Mode, Low will result in 6-bit mode. Refer to section 11.1 of the source driver datasheet for details.

I am sorry but as the DT070BTFT-PTS1 datasheet section Revision Record stated that controller/driver of the display are EK79001ECGA/EK73215BCGA but the controller/driver datasheet on website are EK79007/EK73217A. In the EK79007 driver the digital logic supply voltage a.k.a VDD is 1.8V but in the EK79001 datasheet that digital supply voltage VDD is 3.3V. And also the DT070BTFT-PTS1 datasheet said that logic supply voltage is recommended 3.3V. I am a little bit confused here. Could anyone explain it for me. 
I attached recommended operating range in section 13 for both driver.

Please confirm which display controller (EK79007/EK79001) been used in DT070BTFT-PTS1.  what is the range of LVDS interface VDD_IF in  DT070BTFT-PTS1.
