64128K-RGB: Backlight LED Current

Hi,

We require blue backlight.

So, we need to connect the A pin to 3.2V through a resistor and KB pin to GND,

We can leave KR and KG pins unconnected?

There seem to be 3 RGB LEDs for backlight as per my understanding.

Is the 60mA for Red, Green and Blue LEDs for individual colours in each RGB LED or for total 3 LEDs?

ie, If we connect KB alone to get Blue backlight, the total current is 60mA or is it 60+60+60=180mA?

Hi,

Each color is 60mA.

So for Red only, 60mA.

For RG, 120mA.

For All white (RGB), 60*3=180mA

Hi,

Thank you very much.

Hi,

One more question. Can we use 3V for the LED rather than 3.2V?

No.  The forward voltage is 3.2.

Thanks,
